Vivo Racing
Meet Jonathan Vivo
OK, I admit it, I’m not your typical racecar driver. But while not many Californians of minority descent go into motorsports, I have dreamed of being a racecar driver since I was a kid and I have turned my dream into a reality.
I began with drift racing as a teenager driving a 1994 Nissan s14 that I built myself. After several years, I needed more of a challenge. Then in 2005, I had my first taste of stockcar racing and I fell in love with it. Never one to think small, I am determined to one day become a NASCAR champion.
But pursing a dream is not without person risk. In 2006, I collected all my savings and moved to Hickory, North Carolina where I began my training with Gary Oliver and made my racing debut at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway known as "The World's Most Famous Short Track." At that track, where racing legends like Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, Junior Johnson and Ned Jarrett once raced, I began to earn stock car racing experience.
With less than a year behind the wheel of a stock car, I am already incorporating the skills I’ve been taught and boy, have I been on fire. As of August 4, 2007, I am 6th in the points at Hickory Motor Speedway. With continued hard work and some sponsor support, I am ready to continue to climb the ladder of stock car racing to victory.

Sponsorship Opportunities
I have had the pleasure of working with a number of associate sponsors, including Atlantic Pharmacy (Los Angeles, CA), Instant Imprints (Hickory, NC), and Primo Tacos (Hickory NC). Currently the team has opportunities for both primary and associates sponsorship for all or part of the season.
This is a tremendous opportunity to grow with an up and coming minority driver who will enter the Hooters Pro Cup Series next year and will continue to progress through the ranks of professional stockcar racing. In return for your sponsorship support, the team will work with your company in any way it can to deliver a return on your investment, including participation in exposure on the car, uniforms and equipment, advertising, promotion, hospitality, personal appearances, charity programs, etc.
If diversity is a priority with your company, no team can reach out to the minority community more than Vivo Racing. This not only applies to Jonathon himself. Team Owners Al & Rachel Vivo are proud of their Southern-California roots with Mr. Vivo’s Filipino heritage and Mrs. Vivo’s Mexican heritage bringing a unique ethnic diversity to the sport of auto racing.
